About Us

The SVDP HELP Center serves as a centralized hub for social services in Kootenai County, ID. We provide support and assistance to over 19,000 homeless and ALICE (Asset limited, income-constrained, employed) individuals and families annually.

Services offered include managing over 300 units of low-income housing, a men’s and a women & children's emergency shelter, a community kitchen providing hot, homecooked meals 5 nights a week, a shower and laundry facility for the homeless, a winter warming shelter, case management, parenting classes, payee services, veteran's services, Rapid Re-Housing and Homeless Prevention funding, utility assistance, job skills training, life skills classes and housing for those with mental health challenges and other disabilities.
