Event Description:
Learn the fundamentals of measuring and marking, then practice making accurate cross cuts, rip cuts, and angled cuts using the table saw. You’ll explore essential setups and accessories, including the miter gauge, sleds, fence, and jigs, and learn how to find and set angles with a speed square and by tilting the saw blade. Along the way, you’ll use a power drill for pre-drilling and countersinking and assemble a simple birdhouse as a complete demo project. This class covers the core skills required for table saw certification and is a great foundation for future woodshop projects. Attire: please wear closed-toe shoes, hair pulled back, and avoid overly loose and flowing clothing. Age: 16+ Cost: $100 (includes materials) Instructed By: Skye Hagen
