Intro to Laser: Holiday Layered Laser Art

Session Dates (2): Saturday, November 15th Saturday, November 22nd Time: 12:00 - 2:00 PM Description: Learn how to use a laser cutter to turn digital designs into precise, real-world holiday creations. A laser is an amazing tool that uses a focused beam of light to engrave and cut through materials such as wood, leather, and acrylic. You'll learn how to make your own custom designs using vector software and then how to set up your design files for the laser cutter and operate the machine safely. The project you'll make in this class is a festive layered art piece, customized to your tastes! Choose your own holiday-inspired outline shape and inside layers, then assemble it into a unique seasonal decoration. All the details you need to be certified on the laser at Gizmo will be covered during the class, and there will be an opportunity to certify at the end of class (Note: certification is not guaranteed and is up to the instructor's evaluation of your capability).
